The project is structured into 5 tasks spanning across Phases 1 and 2 and a total duration of 28 month.
Task 0: Management and coordination of activites
Responsible: UZH
Phase 1 (T0 to T0+14m)
Task 1: Requirement Analysis:
Question: Which RS-enabled EBVs are key to track changes in biological diversity at all spatial scales including a prioritisation of the selection? What is their utility and satellite observation requirement?
Outcome: Satellite requirement report with focus on three EBVs
Responsible: ITC
Task 2: Algorithms Trade-off
Question: Identify and develop the best-practice algorithms for the three focus RS-enabled EBVs.
Outcome: algorithms and product specification for the three focus RS-enabled EBVs
Responsible: UZH
Phase 2 (T0+14 to T0+28m)
Task 3: Algorithms Prototyping:
Question: Implement, test and verify the best-practice algorithms for the three focus RS-enabled EBVs.
Outcome: Software tools for end-to-end algorithms
Responsible: DLR
Task 4: Service Analysis
Question: Demonstration of the utility of the RS-enabled EBV products across four use cases including 10 test sites
Outcome: Use Cases Demonstration
Responsible: WCMC
